So, how did I become a virtual financial manager? Well …
After earning my Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Certificate in Accounting from the University of Maryland Global College, I spent about nine years as a financial management analyst. One of my key responsibilities was uncovering and correcting bookkeeping errors in prior-year transactions—a task that sparked my fascination with tracing transactions from start to finish and understanding how they shape financial reports.
I also uncovered something else: my daughter was spending way too much time in daycare. That realization got me thinking … Okay, back to the story. 🙃
That spark of curiosity naturally led me to bookkeeping. With a passion for numbers and a knack for unraveling financial complexities, I realized I could create a service that not only simplifies financial management but also gives business owners the freedom to focus on what truly matters. In 2018, I turned that vision into reality and launched my virtual bookkeeping practice.
By taking on the intricate details and making sense of the numbers, I empower my clients to understand their financials better and focus on what they do best.
When I’m not working in or on my business, I enjoy reading hard sci-fi and historical nonfiction books, hiking, watching sitcoms with my family, and travelling. Born and raised in Germany, I immigrated to the US at age 12. Since then, I’ve lived in various states, as well as Ecuador, Hungary, Italy, and Japan. I’m an INF(T)J, a proud Navy wife, USAR & USN veteran, the oldest of three, a homeschooler, and, of course, a business owner.
